Reverse Osmosis Water Fountain – Horizon RO French Eaux

A reverse osmosis water fountain that simultaneously produces chilled, ambient, hot water up to 95°C and sparkling water — with permanent UV-C disinfection at the dispensing point. The Horizon RO French Eaux is designed for those who want the highest possible water quality, straight from the mains, with no compromise on purity or convenience.

Ultrafiltration vs reverse osmosis: what's the real difference?

Most mains-connected water fountains filter through ultrafiltration — an effective technology that removes bacteria, microplastics and suspended particles while preserving the water's natural minerals. A solid level of filtration for reasonably good tap water.

Reverse osmosis goes further. Its membrane filters at a much finer scale, removing not just bacteria and microplastics but also heavy metals, nitrates, pesticides, pharmaceutical residues, PFAS and chemical residues. The result is water of a purity close to distilled, free of the contaminants that ultrafiltration doesn't catch.

That's the technology built into the Horizon RO — directly inside the fountain, with no separate under-sink unit to install. A complete system, compact, in a single appliance.

Four water types, permanent disinfection

The Horizon RO dispenses four types of water through a touch interface that lets you preset the volume and temperature for each use:

Chilled water (5 to 10°C) — for drinking, filling a bottle or cooling a glass. The 30 cm dispensing height allows direct filling of carafes and bottles without awkward handling.

Ambient water — at room temperature, for those who prefer not to drink cold.

Hot water up to 95°C — for tea, herbal infusions, stock, or any preparation requiring near-boiling water instantly. No more waiting for a kettle.

Sparkling water — produced by an integrated CO₂ bottle, to accompany a meal or simply by personal preference.

On the hygiene front, the Horizon RO integrates a permanent UV-C disinfection system with 4 UV LED lamps at the dispensing point — ensuring that water is always dispensed under optimal sanitary conditions, even after extended periods without use.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a reverse osmosis fountain and an ultrafiltration fountain?

Ultrafiltration removes bacteria, microplastics and suspended particles but doesn't filter nitrates, pesticides, heavy metals or PFAS. Reverse osmosis goes much further, removing these contaminants through a much finer membrane. The Horizon RO integrates this technology directly, with no separate unit to install.

Can the Horizon RO really produce water at 95°C?

Yes. The touch interface allows you to select hot water up to 95°C, ideal for teas, infusions or any preparation requiring near-boiling water instantly, without waiting for a kettle.

What does UV-C disinfection do on a water fountain?

UV-C lamps continuously disinfect the dispensing area — the part of the fountain most exposed to ambient air and external contact. They limit bacterial growth, particularly during extended periods without use.

Does the Horizon RO replace an under-sink reverse osmosis unit?

Yes, in most cases. It integrates the reverse osmosis system directly into the fountain, with no separate unit or dedicated tap required. One appliance replaces the entire installation.

What maintenance does the Horizon RO require?

The Horizon RO includes a smart diagnostic system that simplifies maintenance tracking. Upkeep mainly involves replacing the filter cartridges and reverse osmosis membrane based on usage and local water quality.
